Leisure Attitude Trends in the 41st Tokai University Overseas Educational Cruise

The purpose of this study is to measure the trends of leisure attitudes within the participating students who are enrolled in Tokai University, and Tokai University Fukuoka Junior College of the 41st Tokai University Overseas Educational Cruise. The analysis, compares the result of the “Yoka Anketto”(Survey of Leisure Attitude) in the pre-cruise orientation program (1 survey), the actual educational cruise (7 surveys), and the post cruise survey (1 survey). The data shows that the students’ leisure attitudes were negative in the first survey during the actual cruise program, but became increasingly positive as the program progressed. Both female and male students’ leisure attitudes became more positive as a consequence of the cruise.
