An overview of the destination choice models in tourism

The subject of tourist behavior is a key to understand the phenomenon of tourism. One of the important issues on tourist behavior is the tourist decision-making process, especially the process by which tourists decide their destinations, and many studies have been conducted about this subject. This paper overviews the tourism decision making models developed over the years and discusses the significances and limitations of the concepts in destination choice process. Further research subjects are proposed.
